The district heating plant in Bergen delivers heat to customers in the Bergen area from central Bergen to the cities Kokstad and Sandsli that is approx 70 kilometers from Bergen. The yearly heat production is approx 140GWh and for approx. 15.0000 customers.

In the distribution plant there is 76 kilometers of pipe from the heating central in Rådalen to Kokstad and to Bergen City.

Wideco was the winner of a purchase competition among several other European leak detection system suppliers.

Bergen has approx 27 pcs of the RedDetect X4 alarm unit that is monitoring the pipelines via an Ethernet optofibre network.
